Deep River Waterpark Team Opportunities
Deep River Waterpark is particularly interested in hiring personable and energetic individuals. All employees are required to successfully complete Deep River Waterpark training classes. Each department has standards of professionalism that are required to be maintained. If you want to have a summer of fun while you earn income, you need to give the award winning Deep River Waterpark serious consideration.
• All applicants must be at least 15 years old
• All Water Safety applicants must be at least 16 years old
• All Grounds Team applicants must be at least 18 years old
Food and Beverage Team
As a food and beverage team member you will have the responsibility of providing our customers with a wide variety of quality food, in a fast and friendly environment. The food and beverage team consists of all food areas and also provides catering services to groups, organizations, and even your fellow employees. Team members are required to participate in the Deep River Waterpark food training program that incorporates cashiering, sanitation, food prep, and customer service. Successful completion of this program is a must for employment.
Water Safety Team
The water safety team is the largest department at Deep River Waterpark. They are entrusted with the responsibility of insuring the safe operation of the waterpark’s rides and attractions and to enforce the rules and promote a safe experience for the patrons.
Lifeguard applicants will be certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard. This can be done through another organization or through a course conducted by Deep River Waterpark staff. Applicants must meet the following prerequisites: be at least 16 years old, able to swim 300 yards using freestyle and/or breast stroke, and be able to swim 20 yards and recover a 10lb. brick from a depth of 7-10 feet then swim back the 20 yards carrying the brick. All Water Safety Team members must also successfully complete waterpark training, covering skills specific to this facility.
Ecology Services Team
The ecology services team assists in providing a splashtastic experience, so guests can enjoy themselves in the cleanest, best looking park around. Team member’s daily responsibilities will include the cleaning of the pools and attractions as well as the constant upkeep of the restrooms, buildings, and grounds.
Grounds team members help to maintain Deep River Waterpark’s signature appearance. This position tends to all landscape areas throughout the waterpark, and is key to providing guests with the scenic backdrop to their splashtastic day. Employees will be responsible for push mowing, string trimming, pruning, and weeding.
Guest Services Team
Team members work at the front gate greeting guests, taking tickets and answering customer questions. Guest services staff must be very outgoing and customer friendly. Team members are required to successfully complete the Deep River Waterpark guest relations program.
Team members work in the U.S. 30 Surf Shop, rental locations and at Water Wars. All merchandise personnel must successfully complete the Deep River Waterpark cashier training classes and are required to maintain established performance levels.
Admissions clerks are some of the first staff that guests meet. Personable, friendly, customer service oriented people are a must for these positions. The group sales team is a small department responsible for securing group reservations, rentals, and birthday parties. Prospective employees must be proficient at speaking with guests on the phone, taking reservations, and selling group tickets among other daily duties. Deep River Waterpark is looking for employees who have strong customer service skills, computer skills, are organized, can work in a very fast paced environment, and can retain the high level of knowledge about the park and its policies that this position requires.
